Community Service Award
Ruth Miller Bonham, Charleston, WV was awarded the Community Service Award Certificate and pin on March 4, 2006 at the St. Albans Women's Club in St. Albans, WV, from the Anne Bailey Chapter, WVDAR for her numerous activities and contributions to community and civic affairs for many years. Ruth has also received the award for the East Central Division, which includes Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and West Virginia, and third place at 2006 Continental Congress in Washington, DC.
Good Citizens Essay Winners
Participants in the Good Citizens Essay Contest celebrated March 4, 2006 with a luncheon and award ceremony at the St. Albans Women's Club. Winner, Emily Hanning was not present.
JROTC Awards Banquet at American Legion
Cadet Capt. Katherine L. Miller, St. Albans High School, is awarded a Marine Corps. JROTC medal May 12, 2006 at the American Legion Hall in St. Albans, WV, by Regent Geri Jackson.
First Place National Cultural Events and Traditions Award
Sally Hawley received First Place Cultural Events and Traditions Award from the American Heritage Committee in Washington, D.C. June 28, 2006, for her work and activities with traditional music and hammered dulcimer.
